What customers say?

“ We combined our dinner with a visit to Patara beach to watch the sunset, which was spectacular. The staff picked us up from our villa in Kalkan and went via the restaurant for a drinks order to take to the beach. Watching the sunset from Patara beach with a drink in hand is amazing and well worth it. After this you are bused to the restaurant. There is a variety of cuisines and fish dishes to suit most families at good prices. Although the drinks menu was limited, we were not hampered in our choices. All our meals were delicious. The service was attentive and made for a wonderful evening. Overall good quality food and service with an amazing experience of Patara beach sunset. All great value. ”

“ We had a wonderful late lunch at the Sailing restaurant after walking along the Lycian Way. The food was delicious and was cooked very fast. We were 5 people and ordered various dishes, each of them was great! The service was extremely friendly too! Last but not least, they also provide Lycian Way transfer services and were able to quickly drive us back to our car that was parked earlier along the trail. Definitely recommend this restaurant! ”

“ Sunset at Patara then back to sailing restaurant, been and done this 3 times and each year gets more enjoyable ”

“ The ambiance under the “sails” on the open air first floor terrace is wonderful. Service was professional and the recommendation of the fish “catch of the day” was great - with creamy saffron and one with olive oil and garlic. We appreciated the option to change fries for vegetables. Beers cold and fresh. Just a pity there are so few tourists. A bothersome aspect is the midges that fly around and cause itchy bites on your legs - use an insect repellent early evening. ”

“ A mini bus from the restaurant picked us up from our hotel in Kalkan, then we went to see the sunset on Patara beach and picked up some drinks from Sailing on the way there. We returned for dinner, which was excellent. The staff are absolutely wonderful, making us very welcome. It is a nice bright comfortable first floor open air restaurant. The tables are spaced, so you don't feel you are on top of each other. We had courgette fritters to start, which were excellent. Then I had grilled lambs liver, which was cooked to perfection and delicious. My wife had lamb chops, which were equally delicious. All at a very reasonable cost in a great atmosphere. Plenty of choices on the menu, including vegetarian. Then the minibus returned us to our hotels. Thank you for a wonderful evening. ”

“ A fabulous experience! An evening watching the sunset then dinner at the Sailing Restaurant. The peppered steak was one of the best I have ever had. Simply delicious! The whole evening was made even better by our great host Osman. Thank you my friend!!! ”

“ So much fun!! The gentleman picked us up in Kalkan and drove us to the store to pick up some wine for the sunset. Drive to the dunes and hang out for about an hour to watch the sunset. We hiked all around and thoroughly enjoyed visiting with all the sun watchers. After sunset back to the restaurant for dinner which was sooooo good. My husband had moussaka and I had chicken curry. We had several starters and all the food was good. Then delivered back home. Great folks to visit with and a fun evening. Highly recommend! ”

“ We swam at Patara, watching the sunset on the beach and then eat at Sailing restaurant, which was lovely food, great service, relaxed atmosphere and affordable. The place to have Octopus on your trip! The owner arranged transfers to and from Kalkan. Just be aware that you need to pay 15 euros pp at the Patara barrier so worth going for the day to see the beach and ruins. ”
